Green Design

Hexin has been committing to improve and explore the industrial chain value, introducing green design concepts in raw material manufacture, product process flow, quality control, and product development to promote sustainable development in the industry. From 2017, the proportion of green design investment among total R&D investment rose from 40% to 73%. With such statistics, green models and designs prove its ability and potential to take lead in both present and future. In 2020, Zhejiang Hexin New Material Co., Ltd. was recognized by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology as a national green design demonstration enterprise.

Green Manufacturing

In response to the national green manufacturing initiative, Hexin is driven by scientific and technological innovation with most effort spent on cleaner production and harmful substance recycling. The energy consumption and water consumption per unit product, resource consumption rate, DMF recovery rate, etc. had all achieved leading levels in the industry. Hexin also presides over the formulation of the national standard "Energy Consumption Limit per Unit Product of Synthetic Leather" (GB/36887-2018).

Cleaner Production Technology

The first batch of enterprises that have passed the ISO14001 environmental certification system in synthetic leather industry.

Hazardous Material Recovery Technology

Online monitoring of the DMF recycling in wet PU leather manufacturing process, ensuring a recycling rate up to 99%.

Developed the 'three-effect' DMF rectification technology, which can save energy by 30%, along with a DMF recovery rate of 99.20%, and a reduction of DMF distillation unit cost by 40RMB each ton.

The first domestic dry exhaust gas recovery system with independent intellectual property rights.

Green Products

Green products refer to the products that save energy, reduce consumption and pollutant emission, while improving environmental quality. Judging its impact on human life, it reduces the harm to human health in the entire cycle of raw materials, manufacture, transportation, use, recycling, reuse and waste.

With recycled PET as the main raw material, the products can be either PU coating or suede through the super fiber spinning process.

Superior physical properties than nature leather：folding resistant, wear-resistant, waterproof, and resistant to mildew and deformation. Offering a variety of colors and textures, with good leather uniformity, providing more space for design and creation.

Excellent environmental performance:
1.Won the international GRS recycling certification in 2019.
2.nearly 50% of materials used in the production process are recycled
3.Environmentally friendlly: 2.4 million meters of recyclable materials recycled in 2022, equivalent to recycling 48 million plastic bottles

New environmentally friendly materials, based on the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), use 50% recycled nature leather fiber as raw materials, which implement the concept of environmental friendly in the product life cycle.

With characteristics of both nature leather and PU leather, excellent tensile and tear resistance, good moisture absorption and permeability with high softness and flexibility, strong resistance to extreme high and low temperatures, and wear resistance.

Excellent environmental performance:
Waste nature leather is collected and classified, the leather powder is combined with synthetic fibers through processes such as crushing and hydraulic pressure; Reuse of industrial wastes to effectively reduce carbon emissions and improve the biodegradability.

The use of solvent-free production process makes the porous structure of the foam layer more reasonable with better weather resistance, and no sewage and harmful gases discharge during the manufacturing process.

Green Supply Chain

Since 2014, the "green supply chain" has risen to become a national strategy. It requires companies to run the "green concept" from the beginning of supplier selection, raw material acquisition, transportation, storage and other links to reduce environmental damage. As an integral factor of the industrial chain, enterprises must draw themselves in parallel with the same standards required in manufacturing, use, and disposal. Hence in achieving sustainable development in both the industry and society.

Green Procurement

Suppliers are required to strictly fulfill the "Green Procurement Procedures of Hexin" and related regulations, including the environmental management system, performance evaluation, management system of chemical substances in products, as well as chemical substances in the supply chain management measures and…etc.

Green Logistics

Hexin is the first enterprise to employ intelligent three-dimensional warehousing system in the industry. Fully automatic warehouse management is able to fulfill unmanned operation of warehouse searching and transportation. In addition, in order to reduce excessive use of logistics packaging, Hexin focuses on the minimization and lightweight element of product packaging during design stage; in turn further reducing carbon emissions even at final stages of manufacturing.
